Talala Police Department Recognized for Excellence in Policy Management and Training 

Talala, OK, 07/10/2024 – The Talala Police Department is proud to announce its recognition for excellence in policy management and training in 2023 by Lexipol, the nation's leading provider of policy, training, and wellness support for first responders and public servants. This marks the second consecutive year that the department has received this honor since Chief R. Scott Eaton took leadership in 2022.

The Lexipol Connect program evaluates the Talala Police Department’s performance on five key metrics that are critical to successful policy management. The department achieved Gold, the highest level of recognition, for its consistent and effective dissemination of policies to personnel, timely policy updates in response to changing laws, and comprehensive officer training on policies.
